Superintendent of Buildings & Grounds

TOWN OF DALTON Immediate opening for the following position: Superintendent of Buildings & Grounds (full-time)

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the Town Hall and other town facilities and related grounds. Facilities include Town Hall (which includes the Police Station and Library), Senior Center, Cemetery office, Town park restrooms and grandstands, and two parks, as well as a town-owned house. Full-time position; 40 hours per week, with excellent benefits. Starting salary $26.14 per hour. Qualifications include: High School diploma or equivalent; one-year custodial experience and three to five years’ experience in the maintenance, general repair and construction of buildings and some office experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid Massachusetts motor vehicle operator’s license. Desirable qualifications include: Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License; Massachusetts Certified Public Procurement Official designation. Must submit CORI waiver and pass a full background check (equivalent to License To Carry).
