QUALIFICATIONS
4-Year Degree (preferably in Construction/Project Administration or related field) and relevant
experience. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex multi-million-dollar building
programs including renovation/additions and ground-up projects. The Project Manager should
have a proven leadership background in business skills in the construction industry, project team
management, and analysis of projects being delivered by CM as Constructor contract. Proficient in
reading and understanding construction contracts and construction documents. Excellent verbal
and written communication skills to demonstrate and convey a thorough understanding of the
project design and construction process. Strong organizational skills. Proficient technology skills
including project management tracking software (i.e. ProCore). Ability to work collaboratively,
communicate clearly and effectively with team members and external professionals while operating
in a fast-paced environment

JOB DESCRIPTION (Essential Responsibilities)
The Project Manager shall support the Capital Projects Manager and Capital Projects Team in
ensuring success of the overall capital construction program.
Duties will include:
- Assist in analyzing and overseeing overall master construction program schedule,
generating summary schedule reports of multiple projects as required. - Project administration with project management software – ProCore.
- Assist in overseeing project procurement and completion process as required:
Request for Proposal/Qualifications (RFP/RFQ) development
b. Coordinate notice deliveries including bidnotices
c. Contract administration (design, CMc,contractor)
d. Attend Information and pre-bid meetings
e. Act as liaison with MSDWT stakeholder groups including school building
administration during planning and construction phases
f. Lead design coordination efforts during design phase, as assigned
g. Project management duties on specific projects, as assigned - Work with MSDWT Capital Projects Team to develop processes and project budgets and
Coordinate with individual project teams and District stakeholder groups to
ensure timely completion of projects within budget: - Project estimating
b. Review design specifications
c. Value engineering & constructability
d. Cost control oversight & Oversight of project pay applications
e. Management of changes in the work (change orders)
f. Generating summary budget reports as required
g. Communicate with District stakeholder groups and manage expectations - Assist in providing construction project dispute resolution when necessary.
- Oversight of contract closeout and building commissioning efforts.
- Assist in providing timely reports as needed including monthly Capital Projects Report.
- Attend and provide leadership in project meetings with district, architects, construction
advisors, etc. - Coordinate with District personnel to plan, implement and manage the entire moving and
relocation process, including packing of contents and developing a moving and packing
schedule with appropriate vendors and school staff. - Manage interior and exterior wayfinding package with architect; manage procurement with
- In coordination with District Operations and Technology, oversee the procurement and
installation of District provided items that are not included in the construction project. (i.e.
technology, furniture, equipment, appliances, etc.) - Contribute to the management of the Capital Projects website as assigned.
- Attend District meetings as needed.
- Attend and provide reports at School Board meetings as needed.
- Provide ongoing collaboration and support of Supplier Diversity/Project Public Relations
