The Position

The Staff Accountant responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, assisting with various processes involving accounts payable and accounts receivable and helping maintain various forms of regulatory documentation. S/he will also assist the accounting manager as needed and respond to information requests by management and for auditing purposes.

Education & Experience

  • 2 or 4 year degree in Accounting or related discipline.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience in construction or related industry preferred.
  • Understanding of full-cycle accounting and project forecasting and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Intermediate understanding of lien rights.
  • Ability to act with the required discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software.

Travel Requirements – Nominal local travel (less than 5%) required for this position.
