Public Utilities Electric Division Positions

The City of Ketchikan, Alaska/Ketchikan Public Utilities Electric Division is hiring for the following positions:

Journeyman Power Plant Mechanic, $53.79/hr

Journeyman Lineman, $60.98/hr

Journeyman Wireman/Electrician, $53.79/hr

Electric System Dispatcher (Powerhouse Operator), $53.79/hr

Wireman Electrician (Meter Relay Controlman), $56.48/hr

KPU is a municipally-owned, public utilities company. Ketchikan's electric demand is served by four main hydro-electric dams on Revillagigedo Island and when lake levels are reduced, hydro-electric generation is supplemented with diesel generation. Journeyman Lineman and Electricians must be able to obtain a State of Alaska Journeyman Certificate of Fitness and all positions require a Driver’s License.
