CGI, Inc. has immediate openings for a Manufacturing Production Coordinator

CGI, Inc. operates facilities that are controlled by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All positions are safety-sensitive.
Job Summary:
The Production Coordinator reviews contract requirements as summarized on a sales order, determines and orders materials required, and schedules the work required so that the program will be completed in an efficient and timely manner.
Functions:
- Reviews and becomes familiar with all drawings, specifications, and other documents concerning assigned projects.
- Opens appropriate work packages to evaluate job costs, and determines the optimal lot size and acceptance test requirements commensurate with customer need dates and component parts delivery schedules.
- Coordinates with appropriate department personnel to fulfill all contract requirements.
- Create work orders, review part demand in part maintenance to ensure that the work order quantity is an amount that will meet the demand, and dates requested by customers in the most economically efficient manner.
- Purchase raw material, hardware and outside services as needed for released work orders, ensuring timely delivery to meet ship date commitments to customers.
- Writes or reviews manufacturing procedures and related documents as necessary.
- Prepares and distributes master program and lot schedules and prepares shipping forecasts. Coordinates resolution of shop problems and revises schedules when necessary.
- Reviews weekly reports from customers, making the necessary changes in material planning, sales orders, and work orders to meet needs as feasible for production schedule. Communicates with customers regarding changes.
- Inform management of requested changes from customers that are not within the established lead-time policy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

- Contract requirement variations require discerning analysis and specially formulated plans.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints to the extent required to write manufacturing procedures with adequate clarity and detail for shop use.
- Good verbal and written communications skills
